Most of these websites support tour operators and tourism businesses that depend on trust, functionality, and clear communication with international clients.
Sipi Falls Tours – Website Redesign & Technical Fixes
Project Type:
Website redesign & technical optimization
Industry:
Tourism / Guided Tours (Uganda)
“I had the pleasure of meeting Paul personally and working with him on my website, Sipi Falls Tours. His professionalism, creativity, and technical expertise significantly improved my online presence. I can confidently recommend him to anyone looking to strengthen their digital footprint.”
The Challenge
The client approached me because the existing website was difficult to manage and ineffective as a business tool.
Key issues included:
- The client did not understand how the website was supposed to work
- Content was not SEO-optimized and lacked structure
- Images were unoptimized, impacting performance
- The previous designer relied heavily on a template, leaving placeholder elements and unfinished sections
- Technical functionality issues were present
- Communication with the previous developer was unreliable
As a result, the website did not reflect the quality of the tours and failed to support bookings effectively.
My Approach
Before touching the design, I focused on understanding the business and the booking process from a customer’s perspective.
My work included:
- Restructuring the website content with a clear focus on user journey and SEO
- Optimizing images for performance and loading speed
- Cleaning up leftover template elements and rebuilding key sections
- Improving overall usability so the client could manage content confidently
- Ensuring all technical components worked reliably
Throughout the process, I explained each step in a way the client could understand, helping them gain confidence in managing their website going forward.
The Result
- A clean, functional, and easy-to-understand website
- Improved structure and SEO-ready content
- Better performance through optimized media
- A website that accurately represents the business and supports inquiries
- A client who understands how to use and maintain their website

Mount Elgon Trekkers
New Website – Business Foundation & Growth Enablement
Project Scope
Design and development of a new website for an independent tour guide.
“Paul helped me build a professional website for Mount Elgon Trekkers that is easy to navigate and accessible for both international and local clients. The site allows me to interact directly with customers and generate bookings independently. His work has had a real impact on my business.”
Client Situation
Ramazan was working as a subcontracted tour guide for a lodge. His income depended heavily on the lodge’s booking situation — when the lodge had fewer clients, his work and income were directly affected.
He had no independent online presence and no direct channel to reach travelers interested in Mount Elgon trekking.
Challenge
- No website or digital visibility
- Full dependency on third-party bookings
- Business limited to one core activity (mountain trekking)
- No clear positioning as an independent service provider
Approach
Before starting the website, I focused on understanding:
- How Ramazan currently received clients
- What travelers look for when booking trekking experiences
- Which additional services could realistically complement his core offering
Based on this analysis, I proposed a website structure that:
- Positioned him as an independent Mount Elgon trekking specialist
- Clearly explained his services and experience
- Built trust for international travelers
- Allowed room for business expansion beyond a single activity
Solution
- Designed and built a new, functional website from scratch
- Structured content around Mount Elgon trekking as the core service
- Added additional activities and experiences in the surrounding area
- Created a scalable structure so new services could be added easily
Result
- Ramazan gained direct access to clients, independent of lodge bookings
- His business was no longer limited to mountain trekking alone
- The website became a foundation for long-term growth and diversification
- Clear positioning improved credibility with international visitors
Website:
Mulima Mountain Adventures
Website Takeover, Restructuring & Completion
Project Scope
Takeover and completion of an unfinished tourism website, including structural improvements and functional refinement.
“Paul exceeded my expectations with his skills and experience. His attention to detail and ability to find innovative solutions clearly set him apart. Working with him was a pleasure, and I look forward to collaborating on future projects.”
Client Situation
Job was in the process of having a website built for his tour business, Mulima Mountain Adventures. The project had stalled due to slow and unreliable communication with the previous web designer, leaving the website unfinished and the client uncertain about the next steps.
The existing website was based on a generic travel template that had only been partially adapted to his business.
Challenge
- An unfinished website with no clear roadmap to completion
- Template-based structure not aligned with the actual business offering
- Delayed progress caused by poor communication
- Growing frustration and loss of momentum for the client
Approach
After taking over the project, I first assessed:
- The existing structure and limitations of the template
- The actual services and activities offered by the business
- What was missing to make the website functional and ready for real clients
To avoid further delays, we worked in direct and continuous communication, allowing decisions to be made quickly whenever questions arose.
Solution
- Took over and redesigned the existing website project
- Restructured content to better reflect the business and its services
- Replaced generic template elements with purpose-driven sections in Divi
- Ensured all functionality was properly implemented and tested
- Completed the website with a clear, usable structure for visitors
Result
- The project moved from a stalled state to completion
- The client regained clarity and confidence in the process
- The website became functional, coherent, and ready to attract clients
- Clear communication eliminated unnecessary delays and misunderstandings
